a 2008 elections kick-off fundraiser dinner to be held on:

This spectacular evening includes: appetizers (5:30 to 6:30), Dinner Buffet, Guest Speakers, Live Music and Entertainment, a 50/50 Raffle and a Silent Auction

Dinner choices are: Roast Beef with Mashed Potatoes, Baked Chicken Breast with Mashed Potatoes or Pasta Alfredo (Vegetarian). Dinner will include salad, vegetables, roll and dessert. Water and soft drinks are included. There will be tickets sold to purchase cocktails, wine or beer.

The ticket price is $65 per person. Please mail your checks to Attn: Valerie Guenther, CCDEC, PO Box 494843, Port Charlotte, FL 33949-4843. .

Note: We can only accept cash or checks for this event. Make your checks payable to CCDEC. Please write your dinner choice (Roast Beef, Chicken or Pasta) on your check.

REMINDER: The Primary Election is Tuesday, September 5th! Remember that Democrats and Independents can vote in the County Commissioner District 2 Primary (Adam Cummings vs. Suzy Hackett)

UPCOMING EVENTS:

MONDAY, 9/4: All democrats are invited to join the Democratic Club of Englewood in the Englewood Pioneer Days Parade. All Democrats who wish to join us should arrive at St Rafael's Church 770 Kilbourne Ave. (just off Old Englewood) at 8AM Monday morning. Democratic Club of Englewood's float is #15 in line. The walk is about a mile and a half.

TUESDAY, 9/5: 2006 Primary Election

SATURDAY, 9/9: Democratic Club meeting with featured speaker Vernon Peeples. Peeples is a historian, fifth generation Floridian, and the host of the Vernon's Views program on WGCU radio. He was a Democratic state representative in the Florida House from 1982-1996 and still resides in Charlotte County. The meeting starts at 9:30 AM at Democratic Headquarters. Join us for a light breakfast and coffee at 9, and get to know your fellow Democratic activists.
